"About GRODYSH - FOHO"

GRODYSH comes from a French name which stands for GROupe DYnamique pour la Survie d'Haiti (or Dynamic Group for the Survival of Haiti).
This organization was started in Haiti in 2000 by Claude Reginald Jean, long-time humanitarian in Haiti and former college teacher and engineer in Haiti.
FOHO stands for the Future Of Haiti Organization.

GRODYSH Int'l. Inc. - the Future Of Haiti Organization was founded in January 2011 in the United States by Claude Reginald Jean and Leslie Person Hobbs, an American humanitarian.  The organization's goal is to rehabilitate Haiti to the Pearl of the Antilles that it was in the 1950's and 1960's.  Its strategy is to salvage the children, and in particular the 200,000 abandoned children living on the streets in Haiti.  GRODYSH Haiti runs an orphanage and humanitarian school in Haiti since the devastating earthquake of 2010.

"Our mission is to support and develop Haiti's natural talents so that its future residents may better contribute to their own nation - and to society as a whole."

GRODYSH is an active member of the Haitian community, providing support, humanitarian aid and educational tools to the entire island across a number of industries.

Whether it's providing children with food and shelter, outfitting schools with pens and textbooks or offering seeds for reforestation efforts, we are here to support the future of Haiti for years to come.
